The Mini Chub Racer began from a rusty broken bolt. The driver was a small bolt that I ground into the shape of an ‘old school’ helmet. I used retired skateboard bearings for the wheels (they really roll) and some other small pieces of scrap to complete this cartoon esq’ model of a vintage racecar. 

This piece was a challenge that I set for myself to see how small I could make a work of art while keeping the quality and detail. I will be going smaller on future pieces. 

I love the way this turned out.
